Privacy Policy

Information kept only in your browser

Record, recovery and preference data is stored in your browser (including localStorage). We do not send those datasets or your typed content to our servers or analytics. Selected fields described below, such as the planned duration, elapsed seconds and analytics permission status, are sent separately during use.

• Session records (focus and break times, dates, whether a session was finished, and what you typed in “Working on”)
• An unfinished session, so you can continue after reloading
• Settings (focus and break times, end sound, volume, and your analytics choice)

To stop keeping records, use “Records” on the timer screen; doing so deletes the saved records from this browser. Clearing site data in your browser also deletes them.

Information we collect

The Service automatically collects the following for access analytics. What you type in “Working on”, record contents, dates and identifiers, and exported files are never collected.

• Page views: the page, page type, display language and referring site. Google Analytics receives only known Service page addresses; other addresses are grouped as “page not found”. Referrers are limited to their origin, without paths. Arbitrary URL queries and fragments are excluded; only campaign labels registered by us in advance may be included
• Usage: timer readiness, start, resume, pause, completion, early ending, starting the next session and theme changes. This includes current and starting themes, focus or break, planned duration, elapsed seconds, pause and theme-change counts, start and end reasons, recovery or an unobserved start, and how completion was confirmed
• Theme catalog: card exposure and selection, selection location, card position, category and number of filtered results
• Diagnostics: service, measurement specification and release identifiers, measurement mode with or without cookies, permission status, and predefined error categories such as storage or image loading failures. We do not send custom user identifiers or raw error messages containing free text
• Device information: device and browser type, approximate region, and a cookie identifier (an expiry of 180 days, which may be renewed on a return visit)
• Cloudflare Web Analytics: page views, referrers, device and browser types, and page speed. Cloudflare collects these under its own specifications and settings, separately from the Google Analytics URL restrictions and choices above

Communicating with Google or Cloudflare also sends network information such as your IP address to those providers. “Without cookies” does not mean that no information is sent. If you use the contact form (shared by ReedCraft services), the form provider and we process, to reply and investigate: the service and inquiry type you choose, your message, the reply email address and device and browser details you optionally enter, and the service identifier, display language and form version passed from the page you opened the form from. See How we handle inquiries for details. Your message and email address are never sent to Google Analytics.

How we use it

We use collected information only to:

• Improve the quality of the Service and fix bugs
• Decide on new features and themes
• Understand whether visitors arriving from search or referrals achieve their purpose, and improve search discoverability and navigation
• Reply to and investigate inquiries

Third-party services

The Service uses the following services, and data is processed under each service’s privacy policy. Google and Cloudflare are US companies, and data may be processed in the United States and elsewhere. The contact form provider, Tally BV, is based in Belgium and states that it stores data on servers within the EU.

We do not sell or provide user information to any other third party. See also How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Google signals and ad personalization are not used.

How regions are handled, and how to stop analytics

• Outside the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland (including Japan): analytics runs from the start. You can stop it at any time with “Analytics settings” at the bottom of each page
• In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland: measurement starts without cookies, and we ask whether analytics cookies may be used. Measurement data without cookies is still sent to Google if you select “Do not allow cookies” or withdraw a previous permission
• If your region cannot be determined: Google Analytics is not loaded until you allow it. If an explicit permission is already saved in this browser, we use that choice

We check only the category above, based on the country determined by Cloudflare. Our application does not store your IP address or country in this lookup; it returns only the category to the browser. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies and, with the current settings, is not loaded for visitors from the EU.

Outside the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, selecting “Stop analytics” stops subsequent Google Analytics transmissions and deletes the Service’s analytics cookies. Within those regions, “Do not allow cookies” deletes analytics cookies and continues measurement without cookies. If your browser has Global Privacy Control (GPC) turned on, Google Analytics loading and sending are stopped regardless of region or a saved permission. You can also use Google’s opt-out add-on. These Google Analytics choices and the GPC-based stop do not apply to Cloudflare site delivery or Web Analytics.

Your choice is saved in this browser. If storage is unavailable, it applies only to the current page and you may need to choose again on another page. We do not later replay actions from periods when Google Analytics transmission was blocked, or upload saved history.

Data storage

Collected data is stored on each service provider’s servers. To improve the Service, we may retrieve analytics reports and store them in an access-restricted analysis environment for comparisons. Google Analytics user and event data retention is set to 14 months. The user data retention period resets with new activity. This setting does not apply to most standard aggregated reports and is separate from the expiry of cookies in your browser. We do not import browser records or typed task content into analytics reports.

Requests for disclosure, correction or deletion

To request disclosure, correction, deletion or suspension of use of your information, contact us through the contact form. After confirming your identity, we will respond in accordance with the law. Records kept only in your browser are not held by us; delete them from “Records” on the timer screen or in your browser settings.

Advertising

The Service currently has no ads. Before introducing ads, we will revise this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy when needed. Significant changes will be announced on this site.
